Mixolution ft. Luna - The End

"The End" is an emotional piano ballad about heartbreak, betrayal and finally choosing to move on.

The song was written, arranged, produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Robbin Geuens at Mixolution Studio, with vocals by Luna Van Kets. What started as an intimate piano-based idea gradually became a complete production built around vulnerability, vocal emotion and cinematic dynamics.

For Mixolution Studio, this release marks an important first step: not only as an artist project, but also as an example of how a song can grow from a personal musical idea into a finished, release-ready production.

The production story

The production started from a simple emotional core: piano, voice and atmosphere. The goal was never to make the track sound overproduced, but to support the story behind the lyrics. Every arrangement choice had to serve the feeling of the song.

Luna Van Kets recorded the lead vocals at Mixolution Studio. Her vocal performance brought the fragile and human side of the track to the foreground. During the production process, several vocal layers and harmonies were created to give the chorus and emotional peaks more depth without losing the intimate character of the song.

The arrangement was built around piano, strings, bass, drums and layered vocals. Instead of pushing the track into a full pop production, the focus stayed on space, emotion and dynamics. The song needed to breathe.

Recording / mixing / mastering

Recording, mixing and mastering were all handled inside Mixolution Studio. The mix focused on keeping the vocal close and honest, while giving the piano and arrangement enough width and depth to support the emotional weight of the song.

The mastering stage was kept transparent, with the goal of preserving the dynamics and intimacy of the mix while preparing the track for release in high-quality 24-bit/48 kHz audio.

Release

"The End" is the first official Mixolution release. After years of writing and producing music without releasing it publicly, this track became the moment where the project finally stepped outside the studio walls.

It also represents what Mixolution Studio stands for: songs with emotional weight, attention to detail and a complete creative process from first idea to final master.
